Solutions to improve the performance of fire-damaged wood in lumber operations

What we are looking for?

Forest fires generate loss of characteristics in wood that reduce its performance, resulting in a loss of quality and creating challenges in its subsequent processing. This is because the wood experiences a loss of moisture content, stiffness of the bark, and is affected by fungi and larvae. In response to this, we are looking for solutions that enhance the performance of this wood in lumber operations, including specific methodologies to handle it, specialized equipment for processing, and treatments that improve its characteristics for plywood or sawing processes.
